The Love
Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Performed Miracles on more than one occasion.
…we had a true need for an online ordering system with specific custom features. The Pel Hughes team understood exactly our needs, and built a system by integrating with multiple software systems. It’s exactly what we needed, and has resulted in many efficiencies and automation. We can focus on our core business and know that our print and fulfillment is in trusted hands.
As a company that is in growth-mode with over 200 locations across multiple states, we rely heavily on our relationships with our vendors. Pel Hughes has truly become an extension of our team over the past few years. Their on-demand online portal was just the right fit for our complex needs. The online ordering system allows our associates to customize, order, and track their marketing collateral within minutes. The portal is easy-to-use and manages our inventory in real time, allowing us to scale very easily. We value their expertise, quality of their work, speed, and outstanding customer service. To us, Pel Hughes is more than a vendor – they are our long-term partner.
At Tulane, we implement multiple print and direct mail projects throughout the year. We use multiple list sources with different creative types that need heavy attention to detail to ensure project integrity. Pel Hughes ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail makes our lives easier. The Pel Hughes team is considered an extension of our staff. They are reliable, and are committed to our success by learning about our needs and challenges. We depend heavily on the Pel Hughes Dashboard for real time tracking and project management.
Company History
Pel Hughes is a woman owned, 60 year company based in the heart of New Orleans. On August 29, 2005, Pel Hughes, a commercial printer and mailer founded in 1954 by Alice Hughes, was devastated by Hurricane Katrina’s floodwaters. In the wake of the destruction, we made a commitment to rebuild the company and the enchanting city it calls home. We turned the catastrophic event into an opportunity to transform itself from a traditional commercial printer and mailer into a successful marketing service provider (MSP). Today, Pel Hughes employs more than 65 people and operates out of a 65,000-square-foot facility.
Owner Jackie Hughes says, “Katrina was devastating, but it caused Pel Hughes to emerge as a very different kind of service provider.”
Our energy became focused on developing services that were more current and relevant to the markets we wanted to serve. Now we have the production firepower and plenty of technical experience which we are channeling into a focus on results as opposed to media. The company relies on a mix of hardware and software as well as data and marketing analysts to deliver cross-media marketing solutions to clients in most of the major vertical markets. Our services are geared toward the small and medium-business (SMB) segment.
As a leading Direct Marketing Service Provider, Pel Hughes provides measurable marketing solutions to help companies efficiently acquire new customers, nurture existing ones, and ROMI.
